Guitar lessons in Exmouth

You have been playing guitar for a while. You can play some songs, some chords, scales and other things. You have learned some basic guitar techniques. But now you are stuck, you don't know where to  go from here.

You know some things but you do not feel like a musician. You can't play in front of people because you are afraid of making mistakes and sounding bad. You don't know how to jam with other  people and you are too nervous to think about it. This is frustrating to you.

When you do play you don't think you sound good like your favourite guitarists. You may want to write songs but you don't think you are creative. If you try to improvise you play the same thing over and over and get lost. You may have been doubting yourself for quite some time.

If this sounds anything like you, I understand exactly how you feel. Many people including myself have felt the exact same way. Even the people you look up to once felt like this.

How You Can Take Your Guitar Playing To The Next Level...

What I have found is that you need a trained guitar teacher who can take you to the next level. Picture being able to jam with other people and make it look easy. How amazing would it be to be able to write songs and improvise freely? Imagine playing guitar for your friends and seeing the impressed look on their faces.

This will happen if you take guitar lessons for intermediates with me in Exmouth.

"I tried self-teaching using online material and books for 6 or 7 months with very little success. The lessons are well structured and at a pace to suit the pupils. I feel like I've gained confidence, I know my way around the fretboard a lot more than I did before.

Consistency is something I have massively improved on, I know much more about my favourite guitarist's style and how they play and wrote their music. If you want to improve your guitar playing, or you are just about to start and you want to enjoy it I recommend this teacher to you."- Colin student for 29 months

This Is What You Experience When You Take Guitar Lessons With Me

1- Learn what how to practice so you can improve every time. This is key to getting to the next level.

2- Learn how to confidently jam with others so you can play at jam nights. You can't do this without guidance.

3- Learn to figure out any song you hear on guitar. You will never improve with incorrect tab online!

4- Be able to play freely across the whole guitar neck. This will also make every part of your playing easier.

5- Learn how to be creative so that you can creatively improvise. Playing the same licks all the time gets boring.

6- Be able to play in time so you can play in a band or jam with others. You will screw up without this.

7- Get multiple ways of writing songs and solos so that you won't get stuck when writing music.

8- Avoid and correct bad habits. Bad habits cause bad playing, once you have done your playing improves.

9- Learn to play cleanly and faster. With bad technique your guitar playing will also sound bad.

10- The number one skill which all great guitarists have in common. I will help you develop that skill.

"I reached the point where I couldn't teach myself, and I needed a push in the right direction. My guitar playing flows more, I can sit there for 10-20 minutes quite happily playing guitar and there is more of a continuity to it.

"The wrong place to start is self-teaching, but this teacher knows what's going on. This teacher gets music theory, technique, and songwriting across very easily. He has helped me with communicating with other musicians.

This teacher observes you and makes sure you are doing everything correctly, it's easy to do it yourself thinking it's right until you're in a situation that shows you need work. This teacher gets things across to people in a straightforward manner, which is fun, not too complicated, and done in a way suitable to the student's way of learning. Devon Guitar Lessons is where you want to be, this teacher is one of the best teachers you can have."- Joseph student for 3 years
